• |AC| vs |XT| - Date/Time: Sunday April 04 - 5:00pm CST
The Championship match began with a record. The highest number of participants to play in a {CPD} Tourney 2007 match. It would end with another record before all was said and done. It was 5v5 to determine which team would be honored with the title of {CPD} Squad of the Year 2007. Both teams would only get one chance to prove their worth. Scoring 5-flag caps would be difficult, as both teams played cautiously. It was the combined skill and teamplay of |AC| though that would land Jon and company the edge after 20 minutes of play. 190-22 was the score for |AC| after round one. |XT| had 20 minutes left to answer back. Would they come from behind to usurp the reigning champs? Round two started much similarly with |AC| putting the pressure on |XT| and driving them back. The XTremes could not find an opening to score and get back into the game. All hope for an XTreme comeback was lost when |AC| scored a 5-flag cap. The final round two score was 198-30 for |AC|. Only 440 points were scored overall, the lowest scoring game of all six {CPD} Tourney 2007 games. For the second year in a row, |AC| wins the Championship and the title of {CPD} Squad of the Year 2007!

• |LC| vs |SW| - Date/Time: Tuesday May 20 - 9:00pm CST
The battle for Third Place took place on short notice after Need Medic, Rile and Mich decided that enough members were available for a 3v3. Contusion, Ghosty and Magnum Jones were laced up for |SW|. Rile, Luxan and Mich for |LC|. At the end of 40 minutes, one team would leave with the bronze, and the other would walk away with nothing. |LC| opened up the scoring with a 5-flag cap in a very intense and fast-paced first half. |SW| would answer back with one of their own. It would be back and forth until the bell sounded to end round one. The score after 20 minutes of play was 355-334 for |LC|. Still anyone's game. One mid-cap held for a few seconds by |SW| would be enough to catch up. In the second half, |SW| brought it hard to |LC| and captured 5-flag cap after 5-flag. |LC| would answer each one of them back. It was edge-of-your-seat for all players in the dying minutes of the game. With |SW| up by a hair, Mich gets disconnected. Now with a one-man advantage, |SW| had all the ingredients for a Third Place finish two years in a row. But they weren't able to secure enough points before Mich reconnected to even things up. |SW| did outscore |LC| 362-346 in the second half, but the final score of 701-696 would be in favor of an |LC| Third Place finish. Congratulations to all participants, who achieved a record for the closest scoring match ever in {CPD} Tourney history.

• |AC| vs |SW| - Date/Time: Sunday February 24 - 9:00pm CST
|SW| would have to defeat |AC| in this fourth Tourney match in order to have a chance at winning the title of {CPD} Squad of the Year 2007. With only two members of the Wrath available, it was 2v2 to start things off. Jon and Phoenix for |AC| would take on S@CR@FICI@L L@MB and Cpt. Awesome for |SW|. Taking on a highly skilled duo would prove too much for |SW|, as |AC| was able to prevent them from capturing all but a few flags, while pounding them with 5-flag caps every few minutes. The score after 20 minutes of action was a smoking 441-30 for |AC|. Could it get anymore humiliating for the Wrath? Yup. The second half would be 3v3 as Contusion and Vaccine entered the match. With more bodies, |SW| was hoping for more chances. But the ex-CALs and Phoenix would dominate the entire remaining 20 minutes, crushing |SW| with a final round two score of 487-16. |LC| and |SW| will play for Third Place, and, for the second year in a row, |AC| will face off against |XT| for the title.

• |XT| vs |LC| - Date/Time: Saturday February 16 - 7:30pm CST
{CPD} Tourney 2007's third match saw |XT| take on |LC|. Coming off of a win, the XTremes were looking to seal a Championship spot by defeating the Lords of Chaos. It would be a 3v3 match with Stewie Griffin, Gunny and Rile representing |LC|, and rookie, Boon and Mich representing |XT|. The Lords of Chaos were ready to fight. The entire first half was dominated by |LC| from beginning to end. Securing and holding the middle for most of the first 20 minutes, they were able to put the pressure on the XTremes and take the first half 430-299. |LC| was looking to capture its first Tourney match victory since July 2007. So far, so good. The second half started off in similar fashion. |LC| would capture flag after flag, putting pressure on the XTremes early on. |XT| had an opportunity to capture a crucial 5-flag cap but Mich naded Boon at the most critical moment in |XT|'s plight. Things were falling apart for |XT|. |LC| had only to endure the last 5 minutes of the second half to take the match. But something sparked within the Xtream Team. |XT| fought with every fiber to return the pressure back on |LC| and went all the way by achieving the first 5-flag cap of the game. The surge of adrenalin would add another 5-flag cap to |XT|'s total, resulting in a final second half score of 446-284 for |XT|. The final match score would be 745-714 for the XTremes. Only 31 points was the difference. Both teams played a very exciting and intense game, and both teams deserve congratulations on a well-fought match.

• |XT| vs |SW| - Date/Time: Saturday February 02 - 8:00pm CST
In the second of six matches, |XT| took on |SW|. The XTremes were without their leader and without their second-in-command, who was out due to a recent move to Las Vegas. Medic and Mich agreed to let Panther ring for |SW| after Maji encountered technical difficulties involving spelling. The first half began with a fury. Both teams wanted a win badly. It was neck-and-neck. For the first 10 minutes, |XT| had the slight advantage. But then |SW| took the lead for what seemed to be the remainder of the first half until a truly LAST SECOND 5-flag cap by |XT| put the XTremes up 175-143 after 20 minutes of play. It proved to be motivation for |XT| as they fought hard to repel an eager |SW|. The Squirrelly Wrath wanted a comeback. But it would not come. The XTremes were too motivated to let the victory slip away. They out-scored |SW| 110-64 in the second half.

• |AC| vs |LC| - Date/Time: Saturday February 02 - 7:00pm CST
The first match of {CPD} Tourney 2007 saw the reigning champs |AC| battle it out against |LC|. The Lords of Chaos were without their leader and without their second-in-command, who was out due to the flu. Sordin was the highest-ranking |LC| member. He and |AC| leader Jon accepted a 4vs4 match with Mich ringing for |LC|. Merely seconds into the first half, |AC| scored a quick 5-flag cap to put them up early. The assault had only just begun. After 20 minutes of play, the score was a blistering 225-23 for the Allied Command. Would |LC| put a stop to the pain brought on by Jon, Vaccine, Ian and Windrider? Nope. The second half proved to be a repeat of the first. The Lords of Chaos wouldn't get the opportunity to score even one 5-flag cap. It was total dominance by |AC|. The final second half score was 319-28 for |AC|.
